ADAS is the set of cameras and radar that run lane keeping, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise, and blind-spot alerts. Those sensors only work when they are aimed precisely, and a repair that moves or replaces anything near them changes that aim.
We recalibrate them two ways, depending on your car. A static calibration is done in the shop against manufacturer target boards and exact measurements; a dynamic calibration is done by driving the car at set speeds so the system re-reads the road. Some cars need one, many newer ones need both. The make, model, and year decide it, not us.

The forward-facing safety camera is mounted to the windshield. Replacing the glass shifts the camera's aim, so it has to be recalibrated to see the road and other cars correctly.
What happens if ADAS isn't recalibrated after a repair?
