Our lifetime warranty

Guttenberg Auto Body LLC (“Guttenberg Auto Body”) warrants the collision and auto body repairs we perform against defects in our workmanship and in the materials we use, for as long as you own the vehicle. If a repair we performed fails because of our workmanship or the materials we used, we will repair or correct it at no charge for the parts and labor covered by this warranty. All warranty work must be performed at our shop on Park Avenue.

Warranty period and ownership

This warranty applies to the original owner of the vehicle at the time of the repair and remains in effect for as long as that owner keeps the vehicle. It does not transfer to a new owner if the vehicle is sold or its ownership otherwise changes.

Parts and materials

Some repairs use parts, materials, or accessories made by other manufacturers or suppliers. Those items are covered only to the extent of the warranty offered by the manufacturer or supplier that made them. If you choose aftermarket or used parts in place of the parts we recommend, those parts are covered by their own maker's warranty, not by this warranty.

Paint and refinishing

Paint and refinishing work we perform is covered by this warranty against defects in our application, such as peeling, cracking, or blistering that results from our work. This warranty does not cover fading, chipping, or damage caused by the environment or by normal use, as described below.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Damage from a new accident, collision, or impact after the repair
• Ordinary wear and tear, or the normal aging of paint and materials
• Damage from abuse, misuse, neglect, or failure to maintain the vehicle
• Rust or corrosion that begins outside the area we repaired
• Environmental damage, including salt, sand, stones, tree sap, bird droppings, chemicals, hail, wind, sun, and other road or weather hazards
• Repairs or alterations performed by anyone other than Guttenberg Auto Body after our work
• Parts or accessories not installed by us
• Damage from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of nature

How to make a warranty claim

If you believe a repair we performed has failed, contact us at (201) 283-8758 or bring the vehicle to our shop at 6911 Park Ave, Guttenberg, NJ 07093. Please have your repair invoice or paperwork available so we can confirm the original repair. We will inspect the vehicle and, if the issue is covered, repair or correct it at no charge.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

This is the complete warranty for repairs performed by Guttenberg Auto Body, and it replaces any other warranties or representations, whether spoken or written, except as required by law. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Guttenberg Auto Body is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, such as loss of use of the vehicle, rental costs, lost time, or lost income, arising from a repair or a warranty claim. Nothing in this warranty limits any rights you may have under applicable New Jersey or federal law.

Governing law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any dispute relating to a repair or to this warranty will be handled in the courts of the State of New Jersey.
