Is restoration as good as new headlights?

For hazing and yellowing, yes, and at a fraction of the cost. If the lens is cracked or has moisture inside it, that needs a new assembly instead, and we can tell you which after a look.

Will it actually make my headlights brighter?

It restores the light output you lost to the cloudy lens, so the road looks brighter at night. It does not push the bulb beyond its original output.

How we restore cloudy headlights

Cloudy, yellow headlights are the plastic lens oxidizing as its factory UV coating breaks down. We mask off the paint around the lens, wet-sand through finer and finer grits to cut away the oxidized layer, then polish the lens back to clear.

The last step is a fresh UV sealant, and it is the one that matters. Without it the haze comes back within a month or two. With it, clear lenses put more light back on the road at night.
